PennDOT work in Delaware County, week of Aug. 6, 2023

• Interstate 95: Aug. 10, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. single lane closure northbound between Route 420 and the Philadelphia International Airport interchanges, with a second lane closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• Aug. 6, 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the 7th: Lane closure on Baltimore Pike between Delmar Road and Bishop Road in Upper Darby Township for milling and paving.

• Aug. 7, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the 8th: Lane closure on Baltimore Pike between Delmar Road and Bishop Road in Upper Darby Township for milling and paving.

• Aug. 7 through Aug. 10: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. A left lane closure on northbound Interstate 476 between the Baltimore Pike and I-95 interchanges in Nether Providence, Springfield and Ridley townships for guiderail installation.

• Aug. 11, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Webb Road closed between Atwater Road and Hunters Lane for tree removal.

• Through Oct. 23: Bethel Road and Mill Road intersection will be closed and detoured. During the closure periods, motorists will be directed to Mill Road, Naamans Creek Road, Larkin Road and Chichester Avenue.

• Through Aug. 11: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. A weeknight lane closure between Interstate 95 and Fourth Avenue.

• Through Oct. 16: 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., a weekday lane closure on Route 291 (Industrial Highway/Governor Printz Boulevard) between Route 420 (Wanamaker Avenue) and Third Avenue in Tinicum Township.

• Into 2027: One southbound lane of the Route 420 bridge over the Darby Creek to be closed 24/7 as a four-year project to refurbish and replace that span begins.

• Through Aug. 25: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Burmont Road in Upper Darby Township will be closed and detoured weekdays between McCoy Street and Marshall Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Garrett Road/Bishop Avenue, Springfield Road and Baltimore Avenue.

• Through Aug. 28: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Newtown Street Road will be closed between St. Davids Road and Sugartown Road in Easttown Township, Chester County, and Newtown Township, Delaware County.

• Aug. 7 through Sept. 29: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Route 252 (Providence Road) will be closed between Highland Avenue and Wallingford Avenue in Nether Providence Township

• Through Nov. 22: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Garrett Road closed and detoured weekdays between Clearbrook Avenue and Lansdowne Avenue in Upper Darby Township. During the closure periods, motorists will be directed to use Sherbrook Boulevard, Springton Road, Marshall Road, and Lansdowne Avenue.

• Through mid-August: Palmers Mill Road closed between Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) and Martins Run Road pipe replacement to address stormwater management.

• Through Sept. 6: Ramp from Route 291 (Bartram Avenue) to southbound lanes in Philadelphia will be closed and detoured 24/7 for expansion dam replacements.

• Through early September: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Weekday lane closures on Route 202 (Wilmington/West Chester Pike), both directions, between Smithbridge Road and Watkin Avenue; and Route 491 (Naamans Creek Road) between Route 202 (Wilmington/West Chester Pike) and Graystone Drive. A second left-turn lane will be installed on southbound Route 202, an additional receiving lane will also be installed on Route 491 (Naamans Creek Road) to handle the increased volume from the new left turn lane from southbound 202. All other lanes within the intersection will remain the same.

• Through Oct. 2: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Concord Road will be closed weekdays between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Station Road for Concord Township Sewer Authority water and sewer installations.

• Through early November: 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. A weekday lane closure with flagging on Marshall Road between Wycombe Avenue and Church Lane in Lansdowne Borough and Upper Darby Township for paving, high friction surface treatment and line striping.
